Called the "wedding cake" stand on account of its icing-like finish, this was one of the earliest projects I made. Originally it was an ashtray stand and is about 70 cm (27 in) tall. The large pieces are cabbage pattern crockery, floating in a sea of small pink shards. The bright white grout is ready-mixed tile "adhesive and grout", but these days I generally prefer to work with cement-based grouts. (lamps) |
