This wall mosaic is in the Holy Ghost Chapel, part of the Slipper Chapel, the Roman Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady at Little Walsingham. It was made by Anna Wyner in 1988 and is called "Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost - Our Lady in the midst of the Apostles". Little Walsingham is about 25 miles (40 kilometres) north west of Norwich. For more information, visit the Shrine of Our Lady web site

The mosaic is made from smalti, a brilliant glass material, sometimes incorporating gold leaf for extra reflective effect. The smalti can be seen in the detail below.
