These are two paintings from within the summer house, not as detailed as the scenes painted on the walls of the rooms of the house. As with his intricate carvings, Isidore's abilities with paint and brush are generally eclipsed by his remarkable work with discarded crockery. In some cases he combined paint with mosaic to provide features and relief in the pictures.
