On the inside and outside walls of the Michelin Building there are 32 decorative tile panels which show scenes from the early history of motoring. The one below is dedicated to King Edward VII who was a keen motorist.

A scene in this tiled frieze celebrates the first pneumatic tyres used on a horse drawn carriage in Paris in 1896.
