An enormous tile mural covers the walls of the subway under the south of Trafalgar Square. It was installed by Free Form in the early 1990s, and depicts scenes from the history of the square. In the panel below, Sir Edward Landseer works on his famous lion sculptures at the foot of Nelson's column. Other details shown here are one of the fountains and a map of the square and surrounding streets. |
