Mosaics and mosaic making information from The joy of shards Mosaics Resource

This is the pedestrian underpass from Chapelfield Gardens to Vauxhall Street (under Chapelfield Road, which runs between the roundabout at the top of Grapes Hill to the St. Stephens Roundabout). The design, an abstracted parade of Norwich buildings, appears on both walls of the underpass. It is made of ceramic tiles, apparently purpose-made to fit the pattern. The mural is signed "Melanie Strank 1988" The skyline includes buildings such as the Castle and Royal Arcade, as well as trees.
