New Forest Reptile Centre

Putting the "tile" into reptile, this mosaic by Trudi Lloyd-Williams also uses pebbles, giving extra texture to the skin of the animals. It is at the New Forest Reptile Centre near Lyndhurst, Hampshire. The mosaic depicts a snake, lizard and a toad. Alert readers will have noticed that a toad is an amphibian, not a reptile - however, the centre has captive breeding pens not only for Britain's six species of reptile but also some amphibians too. The animals are released to colonise areas of their natural habitat.
